Summer is a great time for road trips, but the last thing you want is to be stuck with a broken down car far from home. Before you hit the road, here are some tips to make sure your car is ready for a road trip!
First, check your fluids. This includes the obvious fluids like the oil, but also your radiator, brake, coolant, power steering, transmission, and yes, even windshield fluid. Fluids keep your car running smoothly, especially in the heat, so make sure they’re all in good shape before you start out.
Your tires will see a lot of action on a road trip, so check them next. Look for tread depth and tire pressure as well as any obvious holes, dents, or even nails. Some holes can be patched, but if they are too damaged or worn, make sure to replace tires before your road trip.
You’ll also want to check brake pads, belts and hoses, air filters, and all your lights, including turn signals front and back. If you find parts that need replacing, check out the inventory at U Wrench It in Norcross.
